This elegant limited edition presents over 100 of Hardy's finest verses, exclusively selected for The Folio Society and superbly introduced by renowned nature writer, Robert Macfarlane. It features over 30 haunting illustrations created by award-winning artist, Stanley Donwood, who is best known for his work with Radiohead and Glastonbury Festival but is also internationally acclaimed for his large screen prints and art installations. Bodoniana-bound with a striking red leather spine and printed cloth sides, each copy is numbered by hand and signed by both anthologist and illustrator. Macfarlane's selection includes poems from 1898-1928, from 'Wessex Poems' to 'Winter Words'. A full contents list is available on request. Limited to 750 hand-numbered copies signed by Robert Macfarlane and Stanley Donwood. 109 poems selected and introduced by Robert Macfarlane.
