Once you have gained some experience on ebay, an Ebay Shop is likely to be a useful addition for you. The main advantages are:
- Cheaper listing feesIn the UK you can list an item for 30 days for 3p. Even for items less than £4.99 (£0.35 for 10 days) that is good value. For expensive items it is a huge saving.
- Google AdvertisingGoogle (and other search engines) index ebay items, so within a few days of listing on your ebay shop, your item can be found by a Google search with the appropriate keywords. Another way of pulling in business.
- Describing your business With an ebay shop, you get a storefront page to describe the items you have for sell, and can include your own logo and design as well.
- Cataloguing your items You can define a hierarchy of categories and sub-categories for your items, allowing your customers to browse your stock quickly to find the items they want (e.g. trousers, hats, T Shirts). They can also search for keywords (like shoes, socks and scarves) to bring up relevant items in your shop.
